An established and growing financial services business is looking for a Mortgage Compliance Supervisor to join its adviser oversight function. Working within a large, professional mortgage and protection environment, you’ll combine Training & Competence (T&C), adviser supervision, coaching and regulatory oversight to help advisers perform at their best while maintaining strong standards of advice and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the people-development side of compliance and can balance regulatory requirements with practical, constructive adviser support.
The Role
- Lead structured 1:1 supervision and performance reviews with Mortgage and Protection Advisers
- Assess adviser competence, performance and ongoing development
- Provide coaching, constructive feedback and clear development support
- Support new advisers through the Training & Competence framework towards competency
- Maintain accurate supervision records, action plans and development notes
- Identify emerging conduct, compliance or customer-outcome risks and escalate appropriately
- Provide practical guidance around FCA regulation, internal policy and best practice
- Act as a trusted point of contact for advisers with compliance and regulatory queries
- Build collaborative relationships across Compliance, Management and Adviser teams
- Keep up to date with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty, AML and financial crime**
- Support regulatory change, internal projects and continuous improvement across the business
About You
- Experience in Mortgage Adviser supervision, T&C, Mortgage Compliance or adviser oversight.
- Experienced Mortgage Brokers looking to move into Compliance or T&C will also be considered.
- Good understanding of the UK mortgage and protection market.
- CeMAP or equivalent desirable.
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, AML and conduct risk.
- Coaching-led, confident and able to challenge constructively.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- Pragmatic, supportive and comfortable using systems and data.
You may currently be working as a Compliance Supervisor, T&C Supervisor, Mortgage Compliance Officer, Adviser Supervisor, Compliance Consultant, Mortgage Broker or Mortgage Adviser.
